This month, we are excited to introduce AI-powered sourcing, deeper Ask Athena integration across the platform, advanced fact automation, and AI-assisted taxonomy tag creation – all built to significantly streamline your market and competitive intelligence (M&CI) workflows.

Introducing AI-powered Web Sourcing in Contify
In Contify, we’ve now combined our extensive coverage of over 1 Mn+ vetted sources with AI-powered web sourcing. This feature allows you to supplement existing content integration sources with tailored AI prompts that fetch relevant web updates based on your specific focus areas.
Every incoming update from AI-powered sourcing goes through Contify’s enrichment process, which includes deduplication, AI tagging, and quality checks before getting added to your Curated Newsfeed.
This functionality is also automatically activated for new companies added to your tracking list and retroactively applied to existing ones, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
To incorporate custom AI prompt sourcing into your workflow, you can contact your account manager. They’ll configure prompts based on your industry, tracked competitors and partners, and the themes you monitor most closely.
New in Ask Athena: Newsfeed Integration, Enhanced Summaries, and Insight Generation Workflow
Ask Athena is now available in the top navigation bar across the entire platform. With the new updates, it also gives you tighter control over sources and output generation.
In the Curated Newsfeed, you can now select specific updates and use Ask Athena directly on that subset.
From there, you can ask questions guardrailed with the selected updates, generate insights, or summarize them using a predefined template or a custom prompt. This helps you keep responses focused and traceable to specific sources.
Similarly, in Facts or Insights, you can query, summarize, and generate insights.
If you want a broader view without a specific selection, you can open Ask Athena without selecting any story items and query it. It will respond based on your chosen platform focus areas.
New in Newsfeeds: One-click Visualizations for All Categories
The visualize feature in the Curated Newsfeed now covers your entire taxonomy. You can generate visual widgets for all Contify standard categories and your custom categories. This gives you access to more charts and graphs to surface macro-level trend insights.
New in Facts: Auto-extraction and Deduplication
We released two updates to how facts get created, and together they significantly improve the deliverability of noise-free signals to you:
Auto-extraction
Contify now automatically generates facts across all standard fact templates using AI. Every strategic update in Newsfeed now contributes to fact creation without requiring manual filtering, template selection, or field population.
Deduplication
As facts are auto-generated, a deduplication layer runs in the background to prevent duplicate entries. The system reviews existing facts and prevents duplicate creation, keeping the fact stream clean.
New in Taxonomy: AI-Assisted Tag Creation
A robust taxonomy is the backbone of any effective intelligence program, but manually defining complex tagging rules has traditionally been a time-consuming task for analysts.
We have introduced AI-assisted tag creation to eliminate this manual effort while improving the precision of your intelligence.
You can now build custom tags simply by entering a requirement, such as “Include ‘Solution Order Management’ tag in the competitor updates wherever this use-case and capability are primarily mentioned.” Contify’s AI will automatically generate a complete tagging setup for you. This includes a relevant tag name, clear inclusion criteria, and suggested synonyms, ensuring that the configured tag is applied to every relevant update.
By combining keyword variations and relevant taxonomy mappings with a built-in AI verification layer, Contify significantly reduces noise in your newsfeeds and ensures that every tag truly reflects the business context of the update.
Usability and UI/UX Enhancements
Other updates we made in this quarter that reduce friction in your day-to-day M&CI workflows include the following:
- Bulk status updates for Facts and Insights: You can now update the status of multiple Facts and Insights at once from the Athena module.
- Upgraded standard taxonomy: Filter categories are now logically grouped into sections such as Monitoring, Market Context, and Signals, for consistent navigation across the platform, including the Newsfeed and Dashboards. We’ve also introduced and modified some tags to reflect the current business landscape.
- Fact status in the Curated Newsfeed: The status of auto-generated facts is now directly visible in the Curated Newsfeed. You can see at a glance whether the facts for a given update are in pending review or published, without navigating to the Athena module.
- Saved Searches on the Home page: Saved Searches you’ve marked as favorites are now available as quick-access tiles on Homepage. Clicking one opens the Curated Newsfeed with all associated filters applied.
- Exact match tag search: Typing “=” before an entity name in the search field returns only the exact match. This feature is available across the Newsfeed, Dashboards, Newsletter Manager, Company Management, Taxonomy Manager, and Sourcing Manager.
- Refreshed UX for manually adding updates: The Add Update experience has been redesigned with a cleaner layout and more intuitive flow, consistent with the rest of the platform.
- Verified LLM tags: AI-generated tags now go through an additional validation layer before being applied. Tags are validated against their description to ensure they accurately reflect the content and business context of each update.
- “Locations” in pre-configured tag options: You can now map custom tags to Contify’s standard Locations category, letting you use your own naming conventions while still benefiting from structured geographic classification.
